About The Hall China Company

The Hall China Company was founded in 1903 in East Liverpool, Ohio. The first plant was a modest two story building, located in the heart of the city. Operations began with three upright bottle kilns, thirty-eight potters and Robert Taggart Hall’s dream of producing china by the unheard of single fire process.

The rapid growth of the Hall China Company demanded larger manufacturing facilities. A second plant was acquired in 1919. In 1927, continued growth dictated a further expansion into a third a plant.  The final move, made in 1930 consolidated the three separate operations into the present plant location, then consisting of 170,000 square feet in the East End of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Recently joining Homer Laughlin China and Kenilworth under the HLC Inc. umbrella, Hall China continues its mission as the largest manufacturer of specialty dinnerware.  By offering tabletop completer Items that complement a wide range of different styles, Hall China has been able to thrive by providing items that other manufacturers, foreign or domestic simply cannot.
